Portugal has a lot of surf potential. First and foremost, it is surrounded by the open ocean. This is one of the main reasons it has such good surfing conditions. The beginner might just want to try some small waves under the watch full eye of a surf instructor from a surfschool. Or maybe you are an intermediate or advanced surfer, who surfs all over the world and would like to make some new friends at a surf camp in Portugal? Great climate, friendly people, affordable prices, taste food. We have it all, the possibilities for your surf adventures are endless.
WE’RE CURRENTLY CLOSED AND WORKING TO MAKE SURE 2018 IS A BLAST! SEE YOU FROM THE APRIL 1ST!
Who are we and what can we do for you? Well, we are three guys who eat, sleep and breath surfing and transformed our passion for surfing into a personal business. We can be your local guide on your chase for waves. Or your surf school where you can take surf lessons to improve. Either way, we understand that surfing is a lifestyle. While you improve your skills, you’ll become one with the elements around you. Our goal is not only to help you improve but help you enjoy doing it. During, before and after surfing. As surfers with personal experiences, we started to develop our Watermark project. We handpicked and developed our Surf houses in Esmoriz and Espinho (near Porto). With this experience in mind, we created a personal and fun surfing experience, in a beautiful and not yet overcrowded area.
What makes the North of Portugal special? There are only a few places in the world, where you can find such a unique combination of culture and surfing. The fact of being so close to Porto allows our visitors to get the best of both worlds. Fall in love with one of the most beautiful cities in the world (yes, we’re suspicious). Get a natural surfing experience with nice waves and beautiful beaches. Yet, less crowded than most of Portugal’s well-known destinations.
Around Esmoriz you can count on a relaxed daily life, lot’s of natural areas, surf spots (beach breaks and point breaks) and a laid-back surf community.
While in Espinho you’ll find a bit more of the urban lifestyle. But, still with the mellow atmosphere of a city under development, where everything seems to be right around the corner. Furthermore, The surfing in Espinho is excellent and consistent. A bit more crowded but make no mistake, nothing like Peniche or others spots in the South!
I had a really amazing time at Watermark Surfhouse this autumn. It’s a great cozy place to stay and discover the endless opportunity of potential waves. The hosts and trainers Rui and Ricardo are really great guys. Friendly, warmhearted and competent. Since I’m an intermediate surfer those guys did a really good job in helping me to enhance my surfing…
Best surfcamp I’ve ever been to!
I’ve been to many surfcamps before, but this is by far the best camp so far!!! Ricardo and Rui are two passionate surfers and teachers who really enjoy hoating their guests.
Great surf holidays.
Went surfing with friends for a week, had an amazing stay! Very cozy and cute surf house featuring a great backyard for yoga and BBQs.
Sleep, surf, relax, repeat.
A friend and I just spent a week at the house and we had a really good time. We booked the accomodation & surf package and Ricardo made sure we had everything we needed.
